Newly elected San Bernardino Mayor John Valdivia today endorsed Republican Lloyd White for State Senate in the open 23rd District that includes both Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Incumbent Republican Senator Mike Morrell is term limited and cannot seek re-election in 2020.
“I am proud to endorse Lloyd White for State Senate. Lloyd is the type of leader we need in Sacramento to shake things up. He’s a proven leader at the local level, fighting corruption and reducing government waste,” said Valdivia, a rising GOP star who has served on the San Bernardino City Council and was recently elected Mayor in November.
“Councilman Lloyd White has the ability, the work ethic and the integrity, to lead our region and represent our concerns in Sacramento. I am proud to stand with Lloyd White and endorse him for State Senate,” declared Councilman Juan Figueroa.
“I’m honored to have the endorsements of both Mayor John Valdivia and Councilman Juan Figueroa. They are working tirelessly on behalf of San Bernardino to make positive changes and ensure that hard working residents have a voice in their government. Their support demonstrates the growing strength of my candidacy” said White.
Lloyd White is a Software Developer with ESRI, a leading technology company located in Redlands. He was elected to the Beaumont City Council in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. The 23rd State Senate District includes large areas of both Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
